OCHSNER HEALTH SYSTEM is seeking a MATERNAL FETAL MEDICINE FELLOWSHIP DIRECTOR. Our fellowship is accredited by the ACGME and is only MFM Fellowship Program in Louisiana. Our Maternal Fetal Medicine Division has 7 faculty members, including 3 who are also board-certified in genetics. The department includes over 40 highly regarded physicians.

The ideal candidate will be board certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, have five or more years of clinical experience, as well as substantial academic, leadership and research background. In addition, the ideal candidate will have published original research in peer-reviewed journals within the past three years, in accordance with ACGME requirements. Extramural peer-reviewed funding, presentation at regional or national scientific or faculty development meetings and/or participation in national committees or educational organizations is strongly desired.

This individual would be responsible for all areas of program management and successful ongoing accreditation status with the ACGME working closely with the MFM Division Head and faculty as well as the System Chair of Women s Services, the residency program director and the DIO. The individual will have protected, dedicated time dedicated to administrative and educational activities for the program.

In addition to oversight of the fellowship, this individual would be expected to participate in clinical care within the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division. Applicants should be board certified/board eligible and have expertise in clinical high-risk obstetrical care, diagnostic obstetrical ultrasonography, and invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures. We have a broad referral area with a well-respected Maternal Transport service as well as perinatal diagnostic clinics.
