Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Sleep Medicine physician to join an established Sleep Medicine practice. The selected candidate will be practicing primarily in Boise, Idaho with one day a week in the Caldwell, Idaho outreach location.

The full spectrum practice has four Sleep Medicine physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers. It serves adults and there is an opportunity for inclusion of pediatrics, if desired. Practice locations include the cities of Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell, Idaho, with growth opportunities in Ontario and Baker City, Oregon.

The schedule for this opportunity is full time, Monday through Friday with no call required. Outreach clinics one to two times per month may be required at other health system sites.

The Sleep Medicine physicians are responsible for reading sleep studies generated through hospital-based sleep labs at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise and Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa. Opportunities exist for expanded sleep study support through partnership with Saint Alphonsus' Ontario and Baker City facilities.

With the increasing demand for sleep services, the program continues to develop a regional approach within the Saint Alphonsus Health System. Examples of their innovative and strategic approaches include forming partnerships with local employers, other sleep specialists, and other medical disciplines within the four hospital, 74 clinic St. Alphonsus network and general community. Opportunities for public and professional education, and medical teaching are also available.

The ideal candidate will possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, completion of a sleep fellowship successfully with current board certification or board eligibility in Sleep Medicine; have Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine and/or the American Board of Psychiatry or Neurology. The candidate must also have experience practicing the full spectrum of sleep medicine, and obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Boise, Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa, and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed, as well as a valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Boise, Idaho, is a 387 bed regional medical center serving people throughout the Northwest and is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary services. It is also the region's only ACS verified Level II Trauma Center whose annual trauma volumes exceed 1,250 with over 400 patients with an ISS>16. Trauma is predominantly blunt in nature. There are a wide range of subspecialty services available 24/7, including strong trauma/surgical critical care, neurosurgical coverage, in-house interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons and fellowship trained intensivists and cardiologists.
