Provide comprehensive Anesthesiologist Interventional Pain Management services for the Chronic Pain Clinic Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Shall serve as an Anesthesiologist providing care and support services to the medical staff, support staff, inpatients and outpatients for the Anesthesia Service located in the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Provide educational instruction to residents, medical students, and student registered nurse anesthetists. The service is integrated with other military anesthesia services within the National Capital Area (NCA).  May be directed by the Chief of Anesthesia (or designee) as needed to provide anesthesia and/or, pain management and medical education services at sites within the NCA including: the National Intrepid Center of Excellence, Bethesda, MD (NICoE), Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD; Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center, Fort Meade, MD; and Tele-communication Pain Services. Provide treatment for active duty military personnel, including military combat casualties, eligible family members, eligible civilian employees, and other eligible beneficiaries. In accordance with this performance of work statement, provide comprehensive Anesthesiologist Interventional Pain Management services for the Chronic Pain Clinic Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Bethesda, Maryland. Serve as an Anesthesiologist providing care and support services to the medical staff, support staff, inpatients and outpatients for the Anesthesia Service located in the WRNMMC, Bethesda, Maryland. Provide educational instruction to residents, medical students, and student registered nurse anesthetists. May be directed by the Chief of Anesthesia (or designee) as needed to provide anesthesia and/or, Pain management services, medical education services, at sites within the NCR. Services shall be provided for the treatment of active duty military personnel, including military combat casualties, their eligible family members, eligible civilian employees, and other eligible beneficiaries. This position will need to be an instructor at the NCRPI’s Annual Pain Care Skills Training, which may occur outside of the National Capital Region and will be up to three (3) full days.  Assist with other special Pain Management projects as designated by the program leadership.

Possess a Doctorate Degree in Medicine from an accredited college approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, a Doctorate Degree in Osteopathy from a college accredited by the American Osteopathic Association, or permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
