Cardiac Intensivist

Tufts Medical Center, The CardioVascular Center, located in downtown Boston is seeking to recruit a Cardiac Intensivist.  Join one of the nation’s leading cardiac centers in a time of unprecedented growth.

This Physician will care for patients in the Cardiac Care Unit and Cardio-Thoracic ICU. These units are focused on caring for patients with complex cardiovascular disease, and include patients awaiting or having undergone a heart transplant and/or a Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD); as well as patients being supported by non-durable mechanical circulatory support systems (e.g., ECMO).  You will receive a full complement of support as the critical care units are staffed with house staff, fellows, and physician assistants.

The successful candidate should be Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine. The Physician will be joining The CardioVascular Center (CVC), as well as the appropriate academic department / division dependent upon his/her background. Ideal candidates will have additional training in Anesthesia, Cardiology and/or Advanced Pulmonology. Division Faculty members are actively supported in pursuing the outstanding opportunities for collaborative academic work that span the academic spectrum across the campus. 

Tufts Medical Center is an exceptional, not-for-profit, Level 1 Trauma, 415-bed academic medical center that is home to both a full-service hospital for adults and the Floating Hospital for Children. Conveniently located in downtown Boston and embedded within the Tufts University Health Sciences campus, the Medical Center is the principal teaching hospital for the Tufts University School of Medicine. Floating Hospital for Children is the full-service children's hospital of Tufts Medical Center and the principal pediatric teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine.
