  The Salem VA Medical Center is seeking Pulmonary-Critical Care Board Eligible/Certified physician. Ideal Candidate: Proficient in Endobronchial ultrasound and/or Sleep certification would be a bonus.

  You can perform in an out-patient clinic and procedures, as well as in patient consult service and ICU responsibilities. Practice as the primary attending in a closed Medical ICU manned by house staff 1:4 weeks including the weekends. Position involves education and oversight of Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows from Carilion VTC program, and IM and FP house staff from the Carilion VTC and Lewis Gale residency programs (in-patients services) as well.  Our facility is well staffed with all competent & collegial medical sub specialties including (but not limited to) Cardiology, Oncology ID, Renal and Neurology.  We have a close working collaboration with our hospitalists, Interventional radiology, Pathology and Surgery (including Cardiothoracic surgery).

  In addition, we have a four-bed sleep lab on hospital premises, plus an active on-site Home sleep testing and CPAP program. We perform EBUS too.
