Anesthesiology

Asante Three Rivers Medical Center is seeking a BC Anesthesiologist for ongoing coverage starting on October 1, 2019.

Additional Details:

• What is the start date: As soon as credentialed

• Credentialing time length: approximately 3 months-Can be quicker if there are no red flags

• What is the length of placement: Unknown - we are actively recruiting for a permanent doc for the department

• Phone interview required? yes

• Will you consider a candidate pending licensure? Yes. However, OR licensed highly preferred.

• Med mall: No open med mal. Settlements not preferred and will need to be extensively explained.

• Disciplinary issues: Absolutely no past disciplinary issues

• Schedule: We have a full time need

• Reason for coverage? Short staffed

• Monday - Friday? Yes

• Times? 7am-4pm (almost certain)- Some days end earlier

• Call model? No call

• Will you consider multiple locums? Yes. However, one full time doc is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

• Board certified? BC Required

• Other certifications needed? BLS

• Model/Support team: There will be no supervision of CRNAs

• Will provider be prescribing? No

• Ages? Peds? Some peds but minimal

• How many patients per day/shift? Depends on the room the locum is in

• Do they need to be able to do Labor Epidurals? YES

• Skills that are required and skills that are preferred? Are there any modalities that are required? A preferred skill would be blocks for pain.

• What types of cases/surgical specialties? Bread and butter. No neuro or heart

• Acuity of cases - ASA codes our provider needs to be comfortable with (ASA III, IV, etc.?)May have to do up to level IV but will always receive the easiest cases-Not sure I would say this, as these will be MD/DOs not CRNAS

• Required to cover OB?YES

• Requirements and equipment related to regional and ortho? Blocks for pain

• Any trauma services provided. If so, what types? YES - Level III Trauma Center. Only trauma requirement is in the OR

• Does hearts/heads? No
