UP Health System in Marquette, Michigan is looking to add a Neurosurgeon to their well-established, employed, and busy practice. Physicians who are currently practicing, currently training, or are visa candidates will be considered. 

Opportunity Detail

  • Fellowship trained in either Complex Spine or Endovascular settings
    Expectations: 40% outpatient and 60% operating room / inpatient mix. Target patient load averages 20-30/week in the clinic, 10-20/week surgical cases
    Current Practice Structure: 3 Providers and 5 APPs
  • Multidisciplinary Brain and Spine Center inclusive of Neurology, Physiatry, Interventional Pain, Neurophysiology and Neuro/Health Psychology
  • Schedule: Office is open 7am-5pm M-TR, 7am-4pm F. Anticipate call of 1:4 with APPs typically taking first call
  • Location: NEW UPHS hospital opened in June 2019. Outreach clinic locations in Escanaba, Ishpeming, Hancock, Iron Mountain, Manistique, Sault Ste. Marie, MI
  • Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center is a collaboration between Northern Michigan University and UPHS -- Marquette, which is conducting primary research on the formation of brain tumors
  • Michigan State University Medical Student teaching affiliation
