Vice President of Clinical Business Operations

National Jewish Health

National Jewish Health is seeking a Vice President of Clinical Business Operations to provide leadership, direction and administration for clinical and business operations to ensure the success of the clinical and laboratory programs as measured by quality, patient satisfaction, outcomes, financial performance, compliance and growth.

Essential Duties    

  • Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance and resources. Determines staff qualifications and competency:  recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards.  Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Provides leadership to department directors to drive optimal performance of clinical operations. Ensures effective collaboration across departments to optimize patient experience and clinical efficiency.
  • Assists in development of and ensures compliance with clinical practice protocols/pathways.  Maintains compliance with regulations governing hospitals and the rules of accrediting bodies by monitoring operations and initiating changes where required; works closely with clinical team members to ensure successful completion of regulatory reviews. 
  • Optimizes the financial performance of clinical programs. Develops clinical staffing programs and initiatives to enhance productivity, drive clinical collaboration and differentiate National Jewish based on high quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Identifies, evaluates and implements opportunities for strategic growth, programmatic development and expansion
  • Develops, implements, manages and monitors institutional policies related to the clinical operations of National Jewish.

Minimum Qualifications

Education    

Advanced Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Business, Health Care Administration or related field required.

Work Experience    

Minimum 7 years of experience in progressive leadership roles in healthcare services, ambulatory care, integrated delivery system and/or physician practice management.  Experience with Clinical Program Development preferred.
