Part-Time Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO)

Woodland Clinic Medical Group has a part time opportunity for a Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) to oversee health care information technology. The incumbent will perform CMIO duties as well as provide patient care in your specialty area (50/50).

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the CMIO provides overall direction and leadership for clinical information system design and use, related patient care process improvement, and interpretation of data and informatics methods and techniques. The CMIO educates, involves and supports physicians and other users of clinical information. The CMIO will facilitate an efficient and effective use of information technologies.

The CMIO will represent WCMG at local, regional and institutional clinical boards, committees and organizational meetings.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Medicine with significant information technology experience.
• A graduate degree in Health Informatics is preferred.
• Board Certified in Clinical Informatics is preferred.
• Must be Board Certified in your specialty area
• Extensive knowledge and operational ability in the application of information technology to the health care industry
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, some of whom do not report to this individual – lead through collaboration and persuasion.
• Demonstrate capacity to communicate information appropriately
