BE/BC Adult Medicine Physicians

Valley Family & Elder Care, PLC or “VFEC”, an independent medical practice with multiple locations in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, seeks BE/BC Adult Medicine Physicians to join their integrated team. Full-time and Part-time positions are available, and the practice is flexible regarding how the clinical hours are set up (i.e. 3-day work week, weekend only, etc.). Physician will be providing professional post-acute and long-term care medical services to patients residing in independent living, assisted living, rehabilitation, long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. Successful candidates will join a team of physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians to provide quality and compassionate primary care to medically complex adult patients. Due to VFEC’s specialized patient population, an interest, experience or additional training in geriatric medicine is favorable. The ability to work independently and lead clinical decision-making serve as positive skills for this position. Successful candidates will also exhibit strong interpersonal skills with patients and facility staff, be open to collaboration, and have time management skills to ensure maintenance of clinical schedule.

The Practice:

Valley Family & Elder Care (VFEC) has a distinctive practice model in which clinicians are “assigned” to nearby facilities where they provide on-site care to their patients. Facilities that VFEC clinicians practice are located throughout the Shenandoah Valley including the Harrisonburg, New Market, Bridgewater, Staunton, Fishersville and Waynesboro, VA markets. Currently, VFEC utilizes a cloud based EMR system to ensure timely and accurate documentation, and clinicians are able to maintain their patients charts where ever they are. Each facility also has on-site support staff to help enable that clinicians able to devote as much of their time as possible on patient care in a supported rounding model.
