The Department of Surgery at The Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital are seeking a surgeon Board certified or eligible in general surgery with special expertise in hepato-pancreatico- biliary surgery to join the Section of Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Surgery.  The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at The Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The successful candidate will join a large and diverse academic faculty in the Department of Surgery, with a long-standing expertise in complex pathology of the liver and pancreas, a renowned surgical oncology program, a nationally recognized trauma division, and a robust division of surgical research that has been continuously NIH-funded for the last several decades. In addition, Rhode Island Hospital and its pediatric division, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, serve as the region’s only tertiary care medical center and the medical school’s main academic institution.
