Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine physician to flourish in a well-established private practice multispecialty group located in Fresno, California.

The Multispecialty Group provides most routine diagnostic testing on-site including radiology, EKG, echocardiography, carotid ultrasounds, Holter monitor, regular and nuclear stress testing, NCV’s & EMG’s bone densitometry and laboratory services through Quest Lab. The group coordinates care using electronic medical records and pharmacy system. When patients need inpatient interventions, our physicians personally admit them to Saint Agnes Medical Center, with its active staff of over 250 surgeons and specialists, and state of the art technology.

This practice opened its doors in 2005 when a group of established practitioners with diverse backgrounds and specialties came together into a practice setting that enabled them to control how they practiced medicine.  Each physician is in control of her/his practice and it is individually determined how patients are managed.  The more efficient the physician is in controlling overhead and seeing patients, the more income they are able to make.  Administration works for the physicians to make visions come true.  There is no buy in into the practice and physicians become a full partner usually within 12-18 months of arrival.  Income from the very start is what the physician generates minus overhead.  A discount on rent is initially provided as a physician develops their practice and drops off as patient volume increases.  This is a busy practice and ramp up time will be very minimal.

The structure of this opportunity could vary with the selected physician's preference.  One model would be to have two pulmonologists join the practice with staggered in-office schedules so the need for activities outside the office; including inpatient pulmonary consultations, ICU services and teaching in a graduate medical education program could be fulfilled.  Internal Medicine partners could take primary responsibility for hospitalized patients and the selected candidate could consult, if preferred.

Call group schedule options are available.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right Pulmonary Critical Care physician with excellent clinical skills to become part of a practice designed to help meet the growing patient demands of the community.

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE

This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for the right physician including:

  • 401(k) Fund
  • Benefits, with option to waive.
