Mercy Physician Network has an excellent full time employment opportunity for an
Orthopedic Surgery physician to join a multi-specialty network located in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.

Mercy Physician Network (MPN) is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic
Surgery physician interested in becoming part of a large physician network. Our physicians
provide a variety of procedures including total knee, total hip, rotator cuff repair,
arthroscopic knee surgery etc.

We offer a supportive office staff of physician assistants, office manager, patient service
representatives, and certified medical assistants. The anticipated hours would be
traditional 8:00am to 5:00pm, split between office, hospital, and specific days carved out
for procedures as needed.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right Orthopedic Surgery physician to be part of a
well-established group.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
Mercy Physician Network (MPN) has nearly than 30 office locations in the Philadelphia
Region to serve patients. With over 80 physicians, most of which are board-certified in
their fields, have the knowledge and expertise to deal with a multitude of health-related
issues in a coordinated fashion. Mercy Physician Network is comprised of primary care
practices in addition to nearly 20 specialties and subspecialties.

Mercy Physician Network is a member of Mercy Health System, which is the largest
Catholic healthcare system serving the Delaware Valley. It supports the Delaware Valley
with three acute-care hospitals, a home health organization, several wellness and
ambulatory centers, physician practices, a federal PACE program, an accountable care

Recognition
Mercy Physician Network was recognized with HAP’s 2014 Achievement Award for
Operational Excellence for its submission entitled “Improving the Quality of Outpatient
Care and Outcomes by Increasing Awareness of Quality Metrics and Performance
Scores.” Mercy Physician Network had two papers, authored by Prashanth Ramachandra,
MD, FACS, chairman of the surgery department at Mercy Fitzgerald and Mercy
Philadelphia Hospitals, accepted by the Society of American Gastroenterology and
Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) for presentation at the next national meeting in April 2015.

Quality Care
Seven primary care offices have been recognized by the National Committee for Quality
Assurance as Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH). The PCMH model for improving
primary care focuses on the whole spectrum of patient care, ensuring each patient
receives the care they need when they need it. Three practices, Mercy Primary Care,
Mercy Primary Care at Cottman, Mercy Primary Care at Rhawn and Mercy Family
Medicine achieved level 3 PCMH status.
