The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) is searching for an outstanding full-time Board Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology Generalist Physician.

EVMS (http://www.evms.edu), founded by a grassroots effort by the local community, has provided education in medicine, biomedical sciences and other health professions in southeastern Virginia since 1973. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, chaired by Dr. Alfred Abuhamad, is one of the largest departments of EVMS to include; Maternal Fetal-Medicine, Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery, Urogynecology, General Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology as well as two fellowships – Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology. 

Located in a historic region, Hampton Roads includes the cities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton and Newport News. This family-friendly area ranks as one of the top places in the country in which to live. 

The candidate will be actively involved medical student education as well as clinical care in the office and hospital setting.

Both academic appointment and salary are commensurate with qualifications and are highly competitive on a regional and national level.
