Androscoggin Valley Hospital is seeking a BC/BE OB/GYN for 24 hr call coverage.

Additional Details:

• 24 hour call between hospital and clinic

• Shift Notes: 24-Hour Call - 8a-8a

Locations:

• Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) - 59 Page Hill Road, Berlin, NH 03570

• Coos County Family Health Services (CCFHS) - 133 Pleasant Street, Berlin, NH 03570 (1.8 miles from hospital)

• Facility prefers somewhat local candidate due to travel costs and weather risk.

• Facility is looking for 1 provider to cover all dates:

MUST FILL DATES:

• Thursday, June 20 at 5 pm through Monday, July 8 at 8 am: OPEN

• Other dates ( Must be available for June 20 - July 8 to be considered for below dates):

• Friday, July 19 at 8 am through Monday, July 22 at 5 pm: OPEN

• Friday, August 2 at 8 am through Monday, August 12 at 5 pm: OPEN

• Friday, August 30 at 8 am through Monday, September 9 at 5 pm: OPEN

Required Procedures:

• Low risk pregnancy (i.e. history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, etc.)

• FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE

• OB ultrasounds

• Routine delivery -Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section

• Complicated delivery -C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.

• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

• Office/minor gynecology -IUD, Cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

• laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only -tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation

Preferred Procedures:

• Newborn Circumcision

• High risk pregnancy (i.e. with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.)

• Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

• Board Certified OB/GYN or Board Eligible within 5 years of completion of residency - Required

• NH license at time of submission - Required

• Locum candidates must have CLEAN background and no malpractice to be credentialed- Required

• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification - Required

• Experience with EMR's, CPOR, and Dragon voice recognition - Highly Preferred

Credentialing:

• Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have performed at least 25 deliveries (including at least 5 c-sections), in the past 12 months.

• AVH's requirement for current clinical competence is performance of at least 15 GYN cases, including 3 major abdominal cases, in the last 12 months.
