Orthopaedic Surgery

Sampson Regional MC is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for Call Coverage starting on August 16, 2019 - August 19, 2019.

Additional:

• Assignments for general orthopedic 24-hour call coverage.

• Provider MUST be available for complete weekend assignment.

• Friday, Aug 16, 7AM - Monday, Aug 19, 7AM

• EMR: Meditech 6.1.

• Malpractice: minimal to no malpractice history - include details of malpractice in presentation

• Cases/Case Logs: provider must actively perform ankle, wrist, hip and shoulder repairs.

• Include case logs (from a hospital) in presentation

• License: MUST have active NC license at the time of submission

• Travel: Prefer local providers but will consider other providers if travel is capped at $500.

• Lodging: Providers will stay in newly renovated hospital owned apartments (WiFi and Cable included) during their shifts. (Per our bylaws, Provider must be within 20 minutes of hospital at all times on call.)

Locums can expect:

• 0-3 consults per day

• 0-2 visits to ED for closed reductions and admissions

• 0-2 surgeries per day to include wrist, ankle and hip fractures and I&D

• Long bone trauma is stabilized and transferred

• PROVIDERS MUST BE CREDENTIALED WITH MEDICARE AND ENROLLED WITH PECOS AS A PROVIDER

1,910 / day
