Job Summary

Drexel University College of Medicine s Department of Surgery is seeking a fellowship trained Breast Surgeon at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor to join our team. Candidates must be board certified/eligible and be able to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania. This position is 100% breast surgery with the opportunity for general surgery call only if desired, interest in Oncoplastics is ideal.

The successful candidate will be joining a growing Division of Breast Health covering a tertiary location at Hahnemann University Hospital and a community location at Chestnut Hill Hospital. The two settings complement one another, allow you to work with diverse populations, pursue academic interests, and mentor residents and medical students. The candidate would perform his/her own biopsies and training for biopsies is provided. Both locations offer a multi-disciplinary team approach to treating breast cancer with physician extenders including a nurse practitioner, physician assistants and nurse navigator. Interest in Oncoplastics is a bonus.

Candidates should be excellent communicators and clinicians, have exceptional surgical technique, team players and have leadership qualities with strong interests in supporting resident/medical student education.
