Nation’s Largest Brain Tumor Surgery Program
Entirely Cross-Sectional Neuroradiology (CT and MRI)
No Non-Neuroradiology Studies

Need
  • A nationally renowned children’s hospital seeks a fourth pediatric neuroradiologist to join a growing academic clinical practice of 20 radiologists.
  • The successful candidate will be BE/BC in diagnostic radiology and have completed an accredited neuroradiology fellowship with eligibility for ABR neuroradiology subspecialization.
  • A background/interest in pediatric neuroradiology, as well as advanced imaging techniques, is ideal; however, for the right candidate, dedicated pediatric neuroradiology training is not required.
Neuroscience Institute
Top-ranked neuroscience institute is a multidisciplinary collaboration among pediatric specialized neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuro-psychologist, neuro-ophthalmologists, and neuro-critical care physicians. A large epilepsy program, a busy tuberous sclerosis clinic, and one the largest pediatric brain tumor surgical centers in the world (200+ pediatric brain tumor resections annually), and performing over 100 intraoperative-MRI studies and 100 fMRI studies annually. The most advanced imaging techniques are being actively used in brain tumor and epilepsy workups. The hospital is a pediatric Level 1 trauma center serving portions of three states.

Equipment
Currently have four MRI scanners, two of which are 3.0 Tesla scanners including an intraoperative MRI. A 1.5T MRI scanner and a “640-detector” CT scanner are at a dedicated pediatric outpatient imaging center. There are also three hospital-based CT scanners, including a 320-detector scanner, as well as a portable CT scanner used in the neuro-intensive care unit and for children on ECMO.

Participate in a supportive, collegial academic environment with an opportunity to perform research and publish regularly, working in a multidisciplinary manner with a world-class medical staff that includes pediatric otolaryngologists, neuro-otologists, pediatric trauma surgeons, orthopedic spine specialists, neonatologists, geneticists, endocrinologists, and other related specialties.
