The Opportunity

Ob Hospitalist Group has partnered with this facility to develop and manage a program that provides 24/7 emergent care to expectant mothers.

As an OBHG hospitalist, you are the in-house expert whose advanced clinical skill and ability to handle any OB emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction.

You will work closely with local OB/GYNs to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician, every time.

Hospital Information

The 94-bed hospital provides acute care and comprehensive health services to the Lowcountry community. The facility is home to a level II nursery for ill or premature newborns, a maternal-fetal telemedicine program for high-risk pregnancies, and home-like labor, delivery and recovery rooms. Together with other facilities in its system, the hospital delivers more babies than any other hospital in the area.

The Location

Summerville is located in Dorchester County, South Carolina. Parts of the city are also located in Charleston and Berkeley counties. It is home to more than 46,000 residents, including families, military personnel and business executives.

Summerville is conveniently located just minutes from Charleston and is served by the Charleston International Airport and Interstate 26.

Arts and Entertainment

Summerville is known as the "Birthplace of Sweet Tea and Southern Hospitality." Each April, the town hosts its annual Flowertown Festival, the largest arts and crafts festival in the state.

Summerville is known for its historic downtown and bustling town square, 100-plus restaurants, Sweet Tea Trail, shag dancing club, the Summerville Orchestra and the Flowertown Players, to name a few.

Summerville is served by Dorchester County Schools and a number of private primary and secondary schools.
