Hospital near the beautiful New Hampshire White Mountains is seeking a full-time (4 clinic, 1 admin day) Pulmonologist with outreach to two nearby clinics. While their current provider occasionally receives a phone call to help with a particularly difficult vent, there is no call expectation with this position. They are seeking an additional provider because they have a significant backlog for new patients and a long wait for current patients. There is definitely the volume to support a second provider in the service area.

Clinical assistance is provided by an MA and a designated RN. They have 4 perm and 2 PRN Respiratory Therapists on staff. They are on site 6a-midnight during the week and 6a-10p on weekends, with call coverage outside those hours. They have lab, imaging and PT/OT/ST on site but they do not offer pulm rehab. Current equipment includes MedTronics PFT, Servo-I Ventilators, Phillips BiPAP, 2 high-flow and 2 NICU units. EMR is Meditech Expanse 6.16 (the latest and greatest version which the providers are quite happy with).

To be eligible for privileges you would need to be able to demonstrate pulmonary inpatient or consultative services for 100+ patients over the last 24 months, hold current BLS and ACLS certifications as well as successful completion of a post-graduate residency training program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and specialty certification in family practice by the College of Family Practice Physicians of Canada. Board Certification or Board Eligible (with test taken within 5 years of residency).

Compensation is based on MGMA median.  They also offer a commencement bonus and relocation assistance as well as educational loan assistance and a citizenship bonus. 2 weeks for CME and $4500. PTO and generous benefit package with $1/$3m professional liability.
