Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM) is seeking an outstanding rheumatologist medical educator to join the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Philadelphia is a vibrant and diverse community with a large urban patient population; the practice sees a wide spectrum of rheumatologic disorders within its outpatient practice sites and inpatient consultation services. The Division also operates an outpatient Infusion Center in Center City.

Educational responsibilities include participating in the medical school curriculum, teaching internal medicine residents, and meaningfully contributing to our rheumatology fellowship. Collaborative research opportunities exist with ready partners at the Drexel College of Nursing and Health Professions, School of Biomedical Engineering, Dornsife School of Public Health, and College of Computing and Informatics.  The Division has a particular strength in musculoskeletal ultrasound, metabolic bone disease, large vessel-vasculitis, and the hematologic aspects of rheumatic disease.

Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in rheumatology and hold a medical or equivalent degree.

The essential functions of this position are to serve as a clinically active rheumatologist and medical educator within the Drexel University College of Medicine clinical enterprise. The successful candidate will deliver excellent patient care, teach and inspire physicians in training, and be adept at managing both routine and complex patients with musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases. Salary is commensurate with experience. Professional development and mentoring toward academic success are provided in addition to competitive benefits and a collegial working environment. Send cover letter and CV to Lia Logio, M.D., Professor and Chair of Medicine at lsl45@drexel.edu
