Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix (BUMC-P) is expanding its Radiology team by hiring a Body Imaging radiologist. BUMC-P is part of Banner Health which is a Top 5 Large Health System and one of the country's premier non-profit health care networks. As part of our Body imaging team, you will participate in multidisciplinary conferences, tumor board, and contribute to the teaching of medical students and, residents. This is an outstanding opportunity to have the best of all worlds at an up and coming academic medical center, but still having the flexibility, vacation and pay of a non academic position. Plenty of opportunities to perform research and teach.

Position Details:

• Ideal candidates will be Board-Certified and should have completed a Body Imaging fellowship (Body Imaging radiologists who have recently graduated from fellowship are encouraged to apply)
• Flexible work schedule: 4- or 5-day work week, 10-12 weeks off/year
• Work will include primarily a mix of Body MRI, CT, and US and help with general studies including x-rays, fluoro, and ER/Trauma cases
• A portion of the practice includes general evening and weekend shifts, shared among the entire group
• Weekend coverage: 1 in every 7 weekends (Not required to read exams outside your specialty area)
• Occasional thoracentesis, paracentesis or lumbar punctures may be required on the weekend. Training will be provided as needed
• No overnight call. Overnight procedures are performed by Interventional Radiology.
• An interest in research is desirable, but not required
