POSITION TITLE: Faculty Hepatologist – Dignity Health Medical Group – AZ (DHMG-AZ)

REPORTS TO: Medical Director, Transplant Hepatology - DHMG

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Department of Internal Medicine at Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) is comprised of 29 internal medicine providers and supplies services by 23 providers among subspecialties in hepatology, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, palliative care, infectious disease, and transitional care within the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area.

Currently, our hepatology department is looking for a dynamic physician to join our growing and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional clinical care alongside our medical director and a group of five nurse practitioners, and will have an opportunity to work directly with the medical director to build the foundation of the liver disease and transplantation program in Phoenix. Though the pursuit of providing innovative and high-quality clinical care remains the priority of our providers, faculty appointments, research opportunities, quality improvement, and patient advocacy involvement is encouraged for interested physicians.

Our team provides inpatient support to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, as well as outpatient services within DHMG Liver Disease and Transplantation – St. Joseph’s, an established practice on the campus of St. Joseph’s in Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, through the Creighton University School of Medicine (CUSOM), the DHMG Hepatology division will continue to provide educational enhancement to medical students who rotate through the St. Joseph’s Hospital campus in sunny, Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to our unique opportunity to partner with CUSOM in shaping the future of medicine, our department is honored to serve an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse patient population. We welcome applicants who find this patient population and teaching opportunities to be professionally rewarding.
