In alignment with our growth objectives, we are looking to hire a permanent, full time Occupational Health Physician.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat work related injuries and illnesses. Prepare patients for safe return to work and provide consultation to employers and insurance adjusters as needed to assist in proper case management. Conduct industry specific physical examinations to ensure candidates are physically capable of meeting job requirements. Supervise support staff as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat worker’s compensation injury cases.
- Perform physical examinations.
- Provide case related consultation to appropriate parties.
- Direct support staff during patient care and treatment.
- Recommend diagnostic tests and specialty referrals as needed to help diagnose and treat.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Physician will perform large volume of DOT (Department of Transportation) physical examinations. These physicals can only be performed by DOT certified medical examiners. Physician must have this certification or be willing to take the necessary steps to acquire it.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervision of support staff as needed.
Education & Experience
Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school of medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida. Experience in occupational or emergency medicine is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
- Skill in operating phones, personal computer, software and other IT systems.
- Skill in oral communication
- Ability to communicate with employees, patients and other individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports and data.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
Tools & Equipment Used
Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
This position works under usual medical office conditions. The employee must be able to stand, sit, and walk. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.

Travel
Work may involve some driving/traveling to assigned clinics.
