Looking for a position with a growing private OB/GYN practice? Heartland Women's Healthcare is the place to stop your search!  Heartland Women's Healthcare is a 50-provider private practice with 25 locations throughout Southern Illinois and Missouri, with more growth planned for 2019! We are currently searching for Physicians for many of our busy offices through Illinois and Missouri. Salary $300,000-$350,000. We are looking to fill this opening immediately.

The ideal candidate is a skilled surgeon who is comfortable providing the full range of obstetric and gynecological services- including routine well woman care, labor and delivery, and hospital-based surgeries -- to a socioeconomically, culturally- and medically-diverse patient population.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate alignment with the organizational mission, vision, and values
  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine and possess Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal advising up to delivery and postnatal care, sometime in collaboration with a midwife
  • Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition
  • Counsel patients on safe sex practices and preventative medicine practices
  • Order and analyze necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, scans, etc. to effectively diagnose a problem
  • Direct, advise, and supervise medical staff including nurses, physician assistants, med tech etc. on proper procedures and protocol
  • Have a solid record of providing high-quality, routine women’s health care, including skill in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological and obstetrical conditions care, all with a compassionate bedside manner and a professional demeanor
  • Participate in on-call coverage at the hospital for obstetrical and gynecological urgent and emergency services
  • Be comfortable ensuring an adequate patient flow in a busy, outpatient clinic with a mix of scheduled and same-day appointments
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, working seamlessly with other providers and members of the care team
  • Demonstrate the willingness and ability to render culturally competent care to a socioeconomically, ethnically, and linguistically diverse patient population
  • Continue personal education on current medical practices and innovations by reading medical journals, attending conferences, etc

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine
  • Valid license to practice and board-certified state
  • 2+ years practicing medicine in hospital or private practice
  • Proficient at patient charting and knowledgeable in relevant charting computer programs
  • Compassionate and personable with exemplary bedside manner
  • Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities

Centralia is a small town in Southern Illinois, located 45 minutes from the St. Louis Metro area. Offering entertainment activities from The Centralia Cultural Society like plays and musicals, a Balloon Fest celebrated every August with some of the most authentic hot air balloons from all over the country, Spring Festival, Fall Wine Festival, Halloween Parade, and Christmas Stroll. Kaskaskia College also offers many entertainment activities year around including concerts, plays, dinners and musicals. There is also a beautiful golf course, the Centralia Carillion, Airgo Aviation Academy, and local shops, restaurants and coffee shops. SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital is located in Centralia, a 125-bed facility with a busy OBGYN unit servicing patients from all over the area. Heartland Women’s Healthcare has a facility in Centralia with 9 exam rooms, 1 ultrasound room, 2 procedure rooms, and 1 NST room.
