Job Title: Clinician Educator – Assistant/Associate Professor

The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible faculty member to join our dynamic the Division of Rheumatology. The Division of Rheumatology actively participates in teaching of medical students, residents in multiple specialties, and a fellowship program.  This position is at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor on the Clinician Educator track.  Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and education.  Minimum Requirements:  1) Must be board certified/board eligible in Rheumatology within 6 months of hire; 2) Successful completion of a Rheumatology Fellowship; 3) Must be eligible to work in US; and 4) Must be eligible for a medical license in the State of New Mexico. Desirable Qualifications:  1) Evidence of Clinical Excellence 2) Evidence of Rheumatology publications; 3) Demonstration of excellent teaching ability; 4) Experience or recognition of the rheumatologic needs of the diverse State of New Mexico and the rural Southwest.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.  This position may be subject to a criminal records screening in accordance with New Mexico law.
