ABOUT THE POSITION:

The division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) is comprised of a group of five employed, board-certified perinatologists. Within the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN), our team provides inpatient coverage at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC), as well as outpatient services within DHMG Maternal Fetal Medicine clinics throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Gynecology Services at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center are ranked 19th in the nation, by US News and World Report 2018-2019.

Currently, we are looking for a dynamic physician to join our outpatient team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional clinical care, with an interest in medical education. The pursuit of providing innovative and high-quality clinical care remains the priority of our providers, while faculty appointments, research opportunities, quality improvement, and patient advocacy involvement is encouraged for interested physicians. Primary responsibilities of this position includes participation in inpatient and outpatient MFM clinical practice at Dignity Health facilities, to include coverage of the L&D and antepartum units, obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis procedures, and perinatal consultation. Candidates with strong backgrounds in medical complications and critical care in pregnancy, and ultrasound/genetics/prenatal diagnosis are encouraged to apply.

St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a Regional Perinatal Center which provides Level 4 Obstetrical Care with approximately 5000 deliveries each year. St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center also houses nationally ranked and internationally renowned neurology and neurosurgery, is a high-performing heart and lung transplantation services, and maintains level 1 trauma certification. The Level III NICU has over 60 approved beds and ECHMO. The Division works closely with Phoenix Children's Hospital which is the fifth largest Children's Hospital in the country and nationally ranked in all 10 sub-subspecialty areas evaluated by US News and World Report.

Through the Creighton University School of Medicine (CUSOM), the DHMG Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology will continue to provide educational enhancement to medical students who rotate through the St. Joseph’s Hospital campus in sunny, Phoenix, Arizona. St. Joseph’s Hospital currently provides educational instruction to 35 OBGYN residents. REQUIREMENTS:

• MD or DO Degree and Board Certification
• Completed ACGME Residency training with current ABMS Board Certification
• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
• Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure prior to starting in the position
