Position Information

The Providence, RI VAMC is seeking to add an Anesthesiologist with Pain Management experience to join our team.  Our Anesthesiologists work independently, with residents and with our Nurse Practitioners in Interventional pain clinics. Time is split between the Operating Room and the Interventional Pain Clinic to perform a full range of duties in Anesthesiology; epidurals, medial branch blocks, facet injections, joint injections, sympathetic blocks, radiofrequency ablations, provision of comprehensive pain management care as well as behavioral health and psycho social aspects of chronic pain management; performance of nerve blocks for perioperative anesthesia and postoperative pain management. Pain care includes both medication (non-opioids) and procedural based care.
