Urgent/Convenient Care Physician job opportunity in South Carolina!

The Palmetto Health USC Medical Group is currently seeking Urgent Care physicians to staff a fast track, convenient care clinic located on the hospital campus of Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. This is an outstanding opportunity in a hospital employed emergency department non-urgent care tract, which has the support of a hospital and Emergency Department and family medicine Department. Physician will work in the Emergency Department Annex, to support non-emergent cases (acuity level 4 or 5 patients)  presenting in the Emergency Department.

The facility operates on a 10am-10pm schedule and is open to serve patients Sunday-Friday.

Two Full-time physicians will work 3, 12 hour shifts per week (11 hours scheduled with 1 hour for finishing and discharging patients)

Onsite lab with quick turn-around and access to X-ray

1 MD per shift, with outstanding support staff.

Physician must be comfortable with treating symptoms such as: Abdominal Pain, STD, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, 1st degree burns, suture/staple removal, Cold/flu like symptoms, Migraine, etc.

Applicant should be board certified/Board eligible in family medicine.  Prior experience in emergency department fast-track, urgent care, or convenience care is a plus.
