General Anesthesia Faculty in Minnesota
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $267000.00 - 337000.00

The Department of Anesthesiology at The University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking general anesthesiologists to join their growing team. Applicants must be ASA board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology, have a strong desire to teach medical students and trainees while being comfortable working in a tertiary academic medical center seeing complex cases.

The Department of Anesthesiology consists of 7 Divisions, 69 faculty, 29 residents, and 10 fellows across its 3 fellowship programs, namely, cardiothoracic anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, and regional anesthesia and acute pain. The Clinical Divisions include Cardiac, Chronic Pain, Critical Care Medicine, Multispecialty, Obstetric, Pediatric, and Perioperative Medicine and Patient Safety. Clinical care is provided at The University of Minnesota Medical Center, a Level I Trauma and Tertiary Care Center, and at The University of Minnesota Clinics and Surgery Center, a new, 342,000-square-foot care facility that opened in 2016 on the East Bank of the UMMC campus.
  • Monday-Friday schedule, 6:30a-3:00p on most days; light call requirements with ample trainee support
  • Diverse case mix; pediatrics, cardiac and liver transplant covered separately and will NOT be required for incoming faculty
