Thoracic Surgeon

The Cardiothoracic Surgery Service line at the Northwell Health System is seeking an experienced Thoracic Surgeon to join our faculty at the Division of Thoracic Surgery in Long Island Jewish Medical Center, a teaching hospital of the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. The ideal candidate is thoracic-track fellowship trained, ABS and ABTS Board Certified, and is skilled in minimally invasive VATS and robotic surgery for both malignant and benign thoracic diseases. The candidate will join a well-established, busy and experienced team of thoracic surgeons at Northwell, with an annual case volume of well over 2500. The candidate will participate in the training and mentoring of residents and fellows in the general surgery residency program and the highly competitive Integrated Thoracic Surgery Residency Training Program (I-6). The candidate will have access to ample opportunities for translational research in collaboration with Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, Monter Cancer Center and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The candidate is expected to take an active role in program development in the main campus and in the surrounding network hospitals.
