Mercy Clinic, a regional and national recognized leader in healthcare, is actively recruiting a Medical Director for the OB Hospitalist Program for our established group on-campus of Mercy Hospital South, a 767-bed, Level II Trauma Center, located in St. Louis County.

Medical Director duties would include:

  • Direct clinical work as an obstetrical and gynecologic hospitalist (all shift work, no call)
  • Collaboration with nursing leadership on clinical policies and procedures
  • Serve as chair of the Mercy South OB Quality Committee, addressing quality issues on labor and delivery and postpartum
  • Serve as member of the Mercy-wide OB/Gyn Specialty Counsel
  • Work with nursing educators to provide simulation training for staff
  • Create OB hospitalist schedule
  • Assist with developing a fellowship training program

Mercy Hospital South:

  • A 767-bed Hospital, the third largest in the St. Louis metropolitan area
  • Family Birth Center, with 12 labor and delivery and 16 postpartum rooms
  • Level II Special Care Nursery staffed 24-hours a day by advance care NNP s
  • Perinatal Care Center for women with high-risk pregnancies
  • System-wide Epic EMR
