Clinician - Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service
UPMC Eye Center, the Department of Ophthalmology of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained oculoplastic specialist to join our department at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be stepping into an established oculoplastic service, currently staffed by two clinicians. In addition to being a busy clinician, duties will also include didactic and clinical training of residents and fellows. This is a great opportunity for a new graduate or a more experienced oculoplastic specialist. The oculoplastic surgeons also participate in the training of the general plastic surgery, otolaryngology, and neurological surgery residents and fellows. The Center for Cranial Base Surgery, comprised of neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists, and ophthalmologists, is a worldwide referral center for pathology of the skull base. Research opportunities are available, as is the chance to grow an established aesthetic clientele.
Our Department accepts six residents each year as well as fellows in each ophthalmic subspecialty. It is comprised of 39 clinical faculty and 23 basic scientists. The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is consistently ranked among the nation’s leading medical schools, enjoying unparalleled growth in its clinical, research and academic missions.
