The Department of Veterans Affairs, Baltimore VA Medical Center is currently seeking a full-time BC/BE Anesthesiologist to join an expanding clinical, education and research facility. Candidates with subspecialty experience in vascular, neurosurgical, ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and acute pain management are particularly encouraged to apply; qualified generalists are also sought.
Our facility is the major tertiary care referral center for the VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) and offers a full range of inpatient, outpatient and primary care services for veterans living in Maryland and adjacent states. Located on the campus of the University of Maryland and connected to the University of Maryland Medical Center with a sky bridge, the VAMHCS maintains a close affiliate with the University of Maryland School of Medicine (SOM).
Responsibilities will include patient care, didactic and clinical instruction to residents and medical students, and supervision of CRNAs and other professionals. Administrative, clinical research and leadership opportunities are available. Participation in the academic missions of the SOM is encouraged. Faculty appointment in the SOM will be commensurate with academic credentials.
