The WellSpan Medical Group (WMG) is a large multi-specialty group that employs more than 1,500 physicians and advanced practice clinicians in over 170 locations across central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. WMG is seeking a seeking a physician to join their leadership team and work to ensure the successful completion of WMG objectives and strategic goals. The Associate Medical Director will collaborate with a team to support the quality improvement work of primary care and specialty practices and their efforts to transform into highly functioning, integrated care teams.

About the Opportunity

• Position will include 50% of time spent in Associate Medical Director activities, and 50% of time in clinical practice.
• Focus will be on building physician relations, acting as a leadership communication liaison, and execution of annual operating objectives across WMG.
• Participate as a member of the WMG Quality and Innovation Team.
• Reports to: Regional Medical Director, WMG.

Additional Duties Include:

• Oversee the quality improvement efforts of WMG primary care and specialty practices.
• Serve as a resource for WMG operations regarding provider issues.
• Support the transformational work of the practices into Patient Centered Medical Homes/Neighborhood.
• Attend monthly site director and quality council meetings.
• Facilitate new provider orientation meetings.
