FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION
ACADEMIC GENERALIST
OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY
GLOBAL WOMEN’S HEALTH
The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stony Brook Medicine is recruiting two full-time faculty members at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor rank to join a busy academic practice with an established history of excellence. Position responsibilities include clinical care of outpatients, inpatient deliveries, surgeries, and involvement in medical student, resident, and fellow education. The second position also includes the responsibilities for leading our Global Women’s Health Program. We consider Global Women’s Health to be a cornerstone of our academic mission and we are excited to find someone who shares our passion and can help advance our curriculum and strength our ties with the international women’s health community.
The Department encompasses faculty in each of the recognized specialties, an accredited Residency program, an accredited Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and a two-year Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery Fellowship. The faculty are active in all areas of clinical care, education and research.
Stony Brook University Hospital is the tertiary care center for Suffolk County, the Regional Trauma Center, and the Regional Perinatal Center with over 4200 deliveries per year. It is a 603 bed hospital which is in the process of a $500 million expansion, with a new Children’s Hospital and a 500,000 square foot clinical and research space.
Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience, and, qualifications that meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee.
