Forget what you think you know about Utah.

Utah is a very family-friendly state. We are famous for being the Home of 2002 Winter Olympics and for having the greatest snow on earth. The influence of the local culture keeps Salt Lake a clean, safe city, where there is room for everyone. The people of Utah create a kind and welcoming community with a uniquely positive energy.

World class skiing and snowboarding is just 20 minutes up one of the Cottonwood Canyons or take a cruise up Parley’s Canyon to head for Park City, home of the Sundance Film Festival, luxurious ski resorts and equally quaint and sophisticated options for local cuisine and nightlife.

With 5 national parks in the state, outdoor activities are a mainstay for Utah residents. All types of skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, boating, rock-climbing, off-roading, camping, mountain biking, boating, water skiing, fishing, golfing and river-rafting are just some of the activities you have available within a short drive of our location.

In downtown Salt Lake City, you’ll find a walkable, bikeable city with historic buildings, the home of the NBA Jazz and local AAA baseball team the Salt Lake Bees. Several performing arts theaters, including the homes of the Utah Symphony, Ballet West and Utah Opera are a walk away from outdoor music venues, free concerts in the park, and beautiful city parks in which to walk, bike and play. Begin or end an evening out at one of our local restaurants, breweries or distilleries for a unique taste of Utah. Visual arts can be found all over the city in the Utah Museum of Fine Arts at the University of Utah, the Salt Lake Museum of Modern Art, and local art galleries throughout the area.

Come to Utah. You’ll find the Salt Lake valley a well-rounded community with many opportunities to pursue personal interests.  And join the team at Granite Peaks Gastroenterology to fulfill your professional goals!
