Assistant Professor-Clinical Endocrinologist

The Section of Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine is affiliated with Yale-New Haven Hospital and located in New Haven, Connecticut. It is one of the leading endocrine divisions in the country with longstanding traditions of excellence in research, education and clinical care.

We are seeking 3 Clinical Endocrinologists at the Assistant Professor level to join the Yale Section of Endocrinology and Metabolism, to provide general endocrinology clinical care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. They will diagnose and treat general endocrine patients, including those with diabetes; obesity; thyroid, adrenal and pituitary conditions as well as osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. Depending on interest, a specific candidate might focus in one or more of these areas in particular.

Candidates will also have opportunities to take part in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, committee work, and the teaching of students, residents and/or fellows. Selected candidates may also be considered for a clinician-educator position, which has more protected time for teaching and mentoring of trainees as well as participation in clinical research projects.

The successful candidate will have an MD degree from an accredited medical school; have undergone Internal Medicine residency and an Endocrine fellowship; be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified/Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism; and have or be eligible for physician licensure in the State of Connecticut.
