Mission Health seeks a fellowship trained BC/BE Gynecologic Oncologist to join Hope Women’s Cancer Center in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. Hope specializes in gynecological oncology, breast oncology and benign breast diseases. In addition to our four Gynecologic Oncologists, Hope also has a team of six Advance Practice Providers in our busy, well established practice.

At Hope, we treat the full spectrum of gynecologic oncology cases and perform a mix of laparoscopic, robotic and open surgical procedures. The name of the practice, “Hope”, is an indication of our office philosophy. Our focus is always on quality patient centered care.
Our practice is closely associated with the Department of OB/GYN Residency programs at MAHEC through the University of North Carolina. OB/GYN Residents are assigned to the service at all times, and physicians take an active role in mentoring residents through lecturing, assisting with surgical skills, and helping proctor their clinical-based research. Qualifications:

  • * Experience/training in robotics and chemotherapy
  • * XI and SI da Vinci Surgical System training or demonstrated competencies
  • * Experience preferred but will entertain new graduate with excellent recommendations from Program Director or professional colleagues


About Mission’s Cancer Program
The Mission Women’s Cancer Program is an integrated and unified program of the Mission Cancer Center that focuses on the specific needs of women with a breast or gyn-oncology related cancer diagnosis or suspected diagnosis. The Mission Women’s Cancer Program brings together various dedicated specialists, including gyn-oncology, breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, plastic surgery, radiology and pathology, to provide world class cancer care through a coordinated and comprehensive approach. The Program delivers care throughout the region and beyond in a consistent manner that is grounded in evidence based clinical pathways and offering contemporaneous clinical trials in coordination with HCA-Sarah Cannon Cancer Center. We participate in all GOG protocols as an Affiliate Center. We also participate in ACOS-OG and CTSU studies for breast chemotherapy trials.
