The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, FL is currently seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon (CT Surgeon) to provide inpatient, outpatient and surgical care to our large veteran population. You will have the opportunity to utilize the onsite Da Vinci Surgical Robot and will have teaching opportunities with the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

The selectee will be accountable to the Chief, Surgical Service for ensuring the most effective delivery of surgery while meeting and exceeding compliance standards.

Basic Requirements:  

  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Preferred Experience: Board certified/board, eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon with along with being TAVR trained.
