Chief Nuclear Radiologist Opportunity Available in East Orange, NJ with Veterans Affairs

The Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System is recruiting a fellowship-trained, board certified full-time Nuclear Radiologist. You will be responsible for the review and interpretation of both general radiology and nuclear medicine examinations. We seek a team player, with leadership skills, who is committed to high quality imaging practices.

In addition to interpreting a variety of general radiology and nuclear medicine examinations, you will primarily serve as the Nuclear Medicine Section Chief within the Imaging Service - reporting directly to the Imaging Service Chief. Candidates must be qualified to interpret a range of diagnostic studies, including general radiography, computed tomography, US and/or MRI, as well as, the full range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, including but not limited to: Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures using a variety of radiopharmaceuticals, thyroid assays, lymphoscintigraphy, Nuclear Cardiology Stress Tests, General Nuclear medicine SPECT/CT examinations and PET/CT.

Expectations also include sufficient expertise to supervise the nuclear medicine section, with responsibility for following and/or establishing and reviewing all radiation safety protocols, procedural protocols, as well as, establishing and reviewing quality metrics.
