NORTHWESTERN MEDICAL Group
OB HOSPITALIST
Lake Forest, Illinois
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern Medical Group is recruiting a full-time OB Hospitalist to expand our program at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital.
The NMG OB Hospitalist role supports safe and effective care by providing 24/7 in-house physician coverage for the practice’s obstetrical patients, and serves as the safety net for the hospital’s Labor and Delivery unit. Our practice model, built around patient safety, consists of office-based obstetrics and gynecology providers that support clinic and on-call gynecologic coverage, and obstetrics hospitalists that provide the 24/7 in-house coverage. This model, unique and growing in popularity around the country, promotes patient safety, offers opportunities for physicians to focus in preferred areas of obstetrics and gynecology, promotes improved work-life balance, and results in overall improved obstetrics and gynecology physician job satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to community-focused clinical excellence and patient experience. This position is a full-time clinical FTE with a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits.
Qualifications: Illinois medical license in good standing; board-certified or board-eligible in area of specialty; graduate of a fully accredited medical school and completion of an Obstetrics & Gynecology residency.
