Northwell Health Department of Medicine seeks Board Certified/Board Eligible Palliative Care physician to join Long Island Jewish Valley Stream. This is an exciting time to join our team as the Department of Medicine continues to develop and grow the Palliative program at LIJ Valley Stream.

Responsibilities include participating and attending interdisciplinary meetings. Interventions for pain and symptoms, including treatment necessary to meet the needs of patients and families. Collaborating with medical teams and specialists, according to the patient and family choices; and providing education both internally to staff and externally to the community.

Long Island Jewish Valley Stream, a member of Northwell Health, is a 305-bed community hospital offering a comprehensive array of programs and services to patients from Nassau and Southeastern Queens Counties. It has one of the most advanced Emergency Departments in the region and a 21-bed short-term psychiatric unit.

The hospital is home to a state-of-the-art 120-bed facility known as Northwell Health Orzac Center for Rehabilitation. This facility houses the hospital's long-term care and rehabilitative medicine department and the medically oriented Adult Day Health Care Program.
