Geriatric Faculty Position

Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA is seeking a BC/BE Geriatrician to join our Division of Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care and Post-Acute Medicine. 

Position Highlights –
 

• Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with our well-established team of 8 faculty physicians and 5 advanced practice providers.  Our division focuses on direct clinical care and clinical education with a strong academic footprint.
• Excellence in clinical care and medical education.  Faculty appointment to UMass Medical School-Baystate and opportunity to teach our geriatric fellows, medicine and med/peds residents and medical students. 
• Protected time for clinical innovation, educational program design, teaching, and grant activities.  Mentoring for professional development in change leadership and quality improvement provided by a supportive and inspirational culture.
• Join this accomplished division with a vibrant team of professionals consisting of physicians, APPs and social workers.  Our faculty members teach annually at national meetings such as AGS and have received multiple grants and leadership awards.

This is a great opportunity to practice with a nationally active academic division.  This opportunity is multi-faceted with responsibilities in an inpatient consult service, geriatric primary care, teaching and research.  This is a full time position.
