The Opportunity:  Reporting to the CEO of Peterson Health, the Medical Director will serve as the clinical operations leader in dyad with an administrator, providing strategic direction for the growth and success of Peterson Medical Associates.  This executive will serve as a liaison between the medical staff and hospital administration, will provide direct supervision to medical providers and nursing staff, and will develop innovative ideas in the areas of clinical quality, patient flow, patient access, utilization and financial sustainability.  Additionally, this Medical Director will spend a small amount of time providing direct clinical care to patients based upon specialty training.

The Candidate:  The ideal candidate will be a community-oriented primary care or internal medicine physician with a minimum of five years’ clinical and leadership experience.  He/She will have a history of leading collaborative change within a fast-growing, hospital-based physician group.  The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about metrics, protocols, standards of care, patient access, flow, throughput and outcomes.  The candidate will hold an MD degree, along with Board Certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine; must hold or obtain a Texas medical license.
