FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION

PEDIATRIC & ADOLESCENT GYNECOLOGY

OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY

The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a fellowship trained pediatric adolescent gynecologist committed to an academic career. Stony Brook recently opened a new Children’s Hospital which provides an opportunity to collaborate with Pediatrics as well as Surgical specialists. There are currently 5 pediatric surgeons and 2 Pediatric Urologists. We are looking for a passionate person to continue to develop our Pediatric and Adolescent program and enhance our collaboration across services.

Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient care of pediatric patients as well as teaching and mentoring of residents, medical students, and fellows. Opportunities to participate in the obstetric care of women are also available.

Stony Brook Medicine is the academic medical center for Suffolk County, Long Island (1.5M people). The department currently performs more than 4000 deliveries, 1400 surgical procedures and 60K outpatient visits per year. Stony Brook is completing a $500 million expansion, opening two new buildings in 2019; the Hospital Pavilion that includes the new Children’s Hospital, and the Medical and Research Translational (MART) building that is home to the new Stony Brook University Cancer Center.

The Department encompasses faculty from all specialties, an accredited Residency program (5/yr), and accredited Fellowships in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Minimally Invasive and Robotic Gyn Surgery.

Candidates must be board eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or relevant subspecialty. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience, and, qualifications that meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee.
