Unique Medical Director Opportunity

Our search firm has been retained to recruit a Medical Director for a not-for-profit organization in the Winston-Salem, NC region.

Reporting to the CEO, the Medical Director will lead a medical team consisting of one other full-time clinical physician and three full-time nurse practitioners.  This role will spend approximately 95% of the time administratively and any clinical work will strictly involve backup coverage.  This provider organization provides clinical care and manages capitated dual-eligible patients who are frail and elderly.

We are seeking a physician with prior administrative experience in a practice setting who can lead and further develop a team of medical providers.  Prior experience providing care to frail/elderly or end-of-life patients is required.  

Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is strongly preferred.
