Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism Attending

Mineola, Long Island, NY (Nassau County). NYU Winthrop Hospital is seeking an attending endocrinologist to join its full-time faculty in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.

NYU Winthrop Hospital is a 591-bed medical center and a major regional healthcare resource with a deep commitment to patient care, medical education, and research. We are affiliated with the NYU Langone Health system in a clinically integrated healthcare network and are the home of the recently LCME-approved, three-year NYU Long Island School of Medicine. NYU Winthrop Hospital also hosts ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs across multiple disciplines including 13 sub-specialty fellowships in the Department of Medicine. Our faculty members hold academic appointments and are active in the teaching and training of medical students, house staff, and fellows. The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism currently has 8 full-time endocrinology faculty and four endocrinology fellows in our ACGME accredited program.

We have a multi-faceted research program as part of our mission as an academic medical center. Our physicians and scientists are engaged in basic, translational, and clinical research. NYU Winthrop is fully engaged in research and discovery, having invested over $110 million in our new state-of-the-art Research and Academic Center. 

Individuals who are board certified or board eligible in endocrinology and possess a commitment to student, resident, and fellow education and clinical research are encouraged to apply.

Among our practice attributes are: 1) two new ultrasound units with facilities to do thyroid ultrasonography and ultrasound guided thyroid biopsy 2) located one floor below the bone densitometry service 3) in-office psychological support counseling 4) in-office training and analysis for insulin infusion pumps and continuous glucose monitoring 5) participate in a hospital wide diabetes team.
