West Palm Beach VAMC is seeking a board certified/board eligible Urologist. The selectee will also provide a variety of services including pre-operative patient exam and assessment and performs all aspects of Adult Urological Surgery: including Laparoscopic, and percutaneous urologic surgery, Endo-urology with laser stone treatment, Prostate Laser surgery, Cryosurgery, and preferred proficiency in all Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy and Cystectomy.

Offers urology-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, ICU, ward, clinic settings as needed, to include on-call coverage. Will provide critical care related direct care as a part of a multidisciplinary critical care team. The selectee may also be involved in program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to delivery of quality Urological care.

Citizenship.  Citizen of the United States. (Must be proficient in written and spoken English.)

Education.  Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Licensure and Registration.  Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.  Registration must be maintained in the State of licensure if this is a requirement for continuing active, current licensure.
Residency.  Completed a first-year residency, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which it was completed. For a VA resident, the appropriate Deans Committee and Resident Review Board may recommend appointment on the basis of the candidate's acceptability for residency training.
