Founding Senior Medical Director, Primary Care

Columbia University Medical Center

New York-Presbyterian Hospital

Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) invite applications and nominations for the Founding Senior Medical Director (FSMD) for Primary Care.

CUIMC and NYP have developed an exciting vision for a new academic primary care practice network to be based in critical geographies across the New York City metropolitan region. The leader of this new primary care entity will play a pivotal role in its creation, growth, and strategic vision, with the goals of achieving and maintaining clinical primary care excellence and becoming a market leader in the transformation from volume to value.

The FSMD will be a collaborative and transformative leader.  The FSMD’s primary responsibility will be to steadily build upon the existing foundation of primary care faculty through a combination of acquisition, expansion of existing practices, and building of new practices.

Candidates will have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., with a sustained record of clinical excellence and Board certification in the field of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics.

The Academic Health Center Practice of Korn Ferry is assisting CUIMC and NYP with this important search.  Please forward, as soon as possible, your application, including letter of interest, or nominations of appropriate candidates to:
